Whether you're having your family over for a Sabbath dinner, a holiday gathering or a simple nice evening with family this brisket is a perfect meal!
Wash the brisket. Place in a pan with the fat side up. Make small slits in the top and bottom of brisket, inserting slices of garlic in the holes. Sprinkle meat with salt & pepper. Put sliced onions under the brisket with baby carrots. Sprinkle the whole top of brisket with paprika and a little bit of ginger powder. Cover top of brisket with ketchup. Add a bit of water to the roasting pan, which is completely lined with tin foil. On top of brisket cover with tin foil and seal very well. Cook for 3 hrs at 350 degrees F until meat is tender. Cut against the grain.
