B"H
Rosh HaShana 5771-5772

One of the big questions many of us ask during our lifetime is:
"What is the purpose of Life?"

As we grow from childhood to old age we revisit this question many times through different perspectives.

On the surface, this sounds like a huge complex question...after all, we are nothing but specs of dust flying around on this perfectly architected rock in an incomprehensible, vast universe.

So, what are we doing here? And why? What is the purpose?

The answer is actually very simple...

We are here to do Good Deeds - Mitzvot. That's it!

Now don't confuse "the purpose" with your individual "mission", those are two separate issues, and allow me to explain.

To do good, as defined by "Gods Technical Spec", Torah, is to execute a collection of 613 good deeds throughout your lifetime. It is only through this pure good, that we can collectively, as humans, bring down Heaven on Earth. That good energy, is the source of what creates the Garden of Eden, the Paradise, the Peace, the Utopia, which mankind so desperately seek. We have been seeking this from the very beginning no matter where you draw your beginning line, and all it takes, is to simply do good.

It is only through doing that good, doing godly acts of kindness to one another on Earth, that we can make Eden a reality in this dimension.

Now, as for your mission...
God gives great responsibility to great people. Always yearn to do more, to try to take the extra step, raise the bar of kindness, and it will become clear. Discover your individual mission by removing yourself from futile, materialistic, and empty matters. Do this, and your share of good, and it will come. And when the mission is revealed, realize it, and act on it with courage. HaShem will guide and provide.

As our holiest holidays approach, as you gather with your families around the table to eat delicious Munchies, remember and share this.
He who does even one good deed impacts the World as a whole.

May you all have a Happy, Healthy, and Sweet New Year. Hag Sameach, Shana Tova, u Gmar Chatima Tova.

Love,
Jacob
