Bettye's Homemade Chicken and Cheese Pizza
2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon of saltd
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil or vegetable oil
1 package of yeast
1/2 cup of warm water
1 teaspoon of sugar
Mix yeast, warm water and sugar together. Let yeast mixture stand for about 10 minutes. Mix the flour, salt, oil and water in another bowl. Then combine all ingredients. If the mixture is too dry or too wet add more flour or water. Cover dough and place dough in a warm place; let the dough stand for an hour or until dough double in size.
1 can of diced tomatoes (small can)
1 teaspoon of oregano
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of oil
While the dough is rising, make your sauce for your pizza. Open the diced tomatoes and drained the liquid off. Use a blender to blend the drained tomatoes, oregano, salt, pepper and sugar together. Set sauce aside.
Brine diced Chicken breast for 30 minutes in a 1/2 teaspoon of salt for 30 mintues and then add your favorite cheese
Pre-heat oven at 500 degrees -- cook pizza for 15 to 18 minutes
Roll out dough on a flour board or in the pizza pan. This dough mixture can make one large pizza or 2 small pizza.
